This is initial release is a ‘functionally broad and shallow’ release (unlike our existing service in Australasia which is ‘broad and deep’ functionally.

This means it tries to do as much as possible for as many countries as possible with only limited country specific tailoring initially.

Saasu products are fundamentally internationally capable from the outset, i.e. they can be used ‘anywhere by anyone’.

Of course each person, place or culture may have different rules, ways of acting and expectations that we don’t always support.

Our goal is to support as many people, places and cultures as possible. We call them zones because they are so flexible.

To meet this goal we roll out hundreds of new improvements every year, but the world is a big place and we can’t do everything overnight. So if there is something you need that we don’t do yet then please tell us and if it is something that others are likely to need too then we will put it on the list.

What’s the difference between full support service and our beta early release?

• The notice to clients (on sign in) to let you know we don’t provide full support yet but you are still welcome to start using the service it also suggests you read this page.
• Single currency single zone and does not show currency symbols
• Primarily for general small business accounting (general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, journals, invoicing, employee list, client list, prospect list, supplier list etc) but can be used for larger businesses - if you have any concerns please tell us what time you would like to discuss and we would be delighted to discuss your specific situation and how you can work like the thousands of others who have already used Saasu.
• Local consumption based tax (also known as GST/VAT) is supported for each zone but is ’simplistic’ in the sense it does know your local country base rate but does not know if you have special rates applied to certain types of goods yet
• Payroll is still using Australasian descriptions, if you calculate your own taxes etc you can use this function but we would not actively encourage it because when your local payroll settings are introduced your itemised payroll history will be inconsistent.

If you have a specific local requirement you would like met that is meaningful to add to an international horizontal accounting service like ours please tell us and we would only be too happy to include it.
